The Pharmacist Evaluating Examination is The Pharmacy Examinging Board of Canada’s (PEBC) certification process for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The examination is closed book so no notes or textbooks will be permitted. Questions about drugs are based on issues that are relevant to practice, and generally concern those most commonly prescribed or those recommended for use in a certain situation. Laboratory values and drug levels will be reported in the International System of Units (SI). Abbreviations and symbols used will be those an entry-level pharmacist should recognize and will be written in accordance with SI and other health care publications. The Pharmacist Evaluating Examination will consist of 300 multiple choice questions over the course of two consecutive half days. Usually held twice a year with a Summer and Winter session. Each day will consist of 150 questions and 3.5 hours of testing time. You will receive your start time on your PEBC Identification/Card of Admissions that will be mailed to you.
