The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is the comprehensive and reliable academic assessment for adult basic education. The TABE is used by educators to assess the skills and knowledge of adult learners. It is often required by schools that offer associates degrees or occupational certificates. It is similar to the GED. TABE takes three hours to complete and covers many different areas in language, math and reading. It is important to get a good score to show schools that you have the basic skills required to continue your education. There are several different TABE tests depending on your particular area of learning. TABE can usually be taken at your adult learning facility.
